What have missions done for my life?

Mission has given me the fulfilment of knowing that I am doing what my heavenly father has asked me to do.  When I am able to serve someone,  it takes the focus off of me and what I want at that time, and places my focus on the person who needs my attention, assistance and acceptance.  Doing missions expands my faith. It shows me the power of God, in action. Most times I never know who I am going to meet, or the conversation I'll end up having with someone.  I find it so interesting how the LORD sets up some of these appointments for his glory. Rather it be for encouragement, to share the gospel,  make a friend with someone who needs one or to simply give and smile or a hug.  Mission has been important to me for a long time, and I am so grateful that I can used by God.

Verse that inspire you to do missions

As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”
Romans 10:11-15

Missions background

I have been blessed with the ability to go on numerous student ministry missions trips with Palm Valley Church's middle school and high school students.  I have also been able to go to Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point, Mexico) to help build homes for deserving families four times. I've been to the San Carlos Indian reservation.  I've been blessed to go to Cote d'lvoire, Africa.  This will be the fifth trip for me. I love sharing the talents that God has given me with brothers and sisters in Africa.

What missions done in your life:

Its helped me be a more genuine and compassionate person by seeing that you don't need things or money to have peace and to share a laugh and kindness with others

Mission background

I was in middle school when my family first started serving and helping in our community through a homeless outreach called Team Hope and since then I had a desire to help people. Through out the rest of middle school and high school I went on a few mission trips to places like Las Vegas, The Native American reservations, Mexico. After high school I became a mission intern with the church to learn how missions operate behind the scene to create trips and community events that help our communities thrive and grow as well as how to intro Jesus into them. Through that internship I had went on my first mission to Cote d'Ivore in 2020. Since then I volunteer and help assist AZ Community Impact and the Salvation Army through the year as well as mentor students for our churches high school program

Verse that inspires you to do missions

The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 4:7-11

Verse that inspire you to do missions

“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Matthew 5:13-16

Fun fact

As a family we love Missions and being able to get involed and serve

Verse we try to keep in mind when we serve:

For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’  “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!
